The exhibition "Memorial against the war" presents drawings on which the author Lilja Matvejeva has worked since the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine in cooperation with our partner organization Memorial. The drawings depict various forms of anti-war protests in Russia, be it lone protests, support for political prisoners, or historical analogies to understand the criminal nature of the war against Ukraine.
The exhibition was presented for the first time on October 11, 2023 at the Department of Slavic Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Palacký University in Olomouc.
During the opening of the exhibition at the Pedagogical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno, which took place on February 28, 2024, the author Lilja Matvejeva and Irina Ostrovskaya from Memorial had an opening speach. You can play the recording HERE.
In July 2024, the exhibition was presented in the Regional Library in Zlín.
The exhibition was prepared by Gulag.cz in cooperation with the Memorial association.
