About us

The Gulag.cz Association deals not only with the phenomenon of the Gulag system, but also with the Soviet totalitarian regime in general and the overlap of this past into the present. The activity of the organization enables a research of the Gulag and the totalitarian regime in the USSR in a wider context, including its Czech dimension. It connects research activities, archaeological and archival research, the use of new IT technologies and educational methods. It shoots films, organizes expeditions, exhibitions and lectures.
