The life of women in the Gulag, with all its harshness, is traced in the exhibition through fragments of everyday life. It uses, among other things, photographs of handicrafts and objects linked to the stories of 26 specific women. Several authentic exhibits are also included, and some of the stories also have a distinctly Czech trace.
The second presentation of the exhibition took place in Kutná Hora. The opening took place on 6 February 2025 at 5 pm in the Church of St. John of Nepomuk (Spolkový dům). The exhibition will be on display there until 2 March, daily from 10:00-17:00 (lunch break 12:30-13:00). Admission is free. The texts of the panels are in both Czech and English.
As part of the opening those interested could also write letters and postcards in support of women unjustly imprisoned by the current Russian regime.
