The teaser for our new documentary film from Expedition Kyrgyzstan is out!

Our new film from the expedition to discover the fate of Czechoslovaks in Soviet Kyrgyzstan will premiere in April.

The horrors of the past, the wasted lives, the remains of uranium mines and labour camps. Time is slowly washing away the forgotten history in Kyrgyzstan, and the growing influence of Russia hinders efforts at studying it. Among the victims of Soviet repression there were also many Czechoslovak citizens. An expedition of the Gulag.cz organisation will visit the sites of this turbulent history in August 2024 on the occasion of the upcoming 100th anniversary of the founding of the "Interhelpo" cooperative by our compatriots in Kyrgyzstan.

The result is a documentary film mapping the search for the traces of terror, meetings and interviews with descendants of the Czechs, survivors and local experts against the backdrop of Kyrgyz cities and exotic landscapes. You can already see a small taste.

Premiere of the film will take place on 24 April 2025 in Prague's Cinema Aero and on 28 April in DK Poklad in Ostrava.
- Pre-sale in Prague HERE.
- Pre-sale in Ostrava - to be announced soon.

All the findings from the expedition will then be presented on a special website, which we will also present in April.

You can find out more about the film HERE.
